Software Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our quality assurance team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing strategies, automation development, and close collaboration with development teams.

About the Role

You will play a key role in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using bug tracking systems. Your exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities will enable you to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs.

  • Testing & Quality Assurance
    • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs
    • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing
    • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems
    • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues
Test Automation

You will leverage industry-standard frameworks to develop and maintain automated test scripts. This includes building and enhancing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing pipelines and creating automated API tests using tools like Postman or similar.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle. Your strong communication skills will enable you to provide feedback on requirements and user stories from a testing perspective. Additionally, you will contribute to improving testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.

    • Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle
    • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
    • Provide feedback on requirements and user stories from a testing perspective

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Technical Skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
    • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks
    • Knowledge of API testing tools
    • Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD tools
Preferred Qualifications

    • ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications
    • Experience with cloud platforms
    • Knowledge of security testing principles
    • Experience with containerization technologies
