Job Title: 'Culinary Workstation Coordinator'

Are you a skilled and organized individual with a passion for culinary arts? We are seeking a talented Culinary Workstation Coordinator to join our team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for coordinating activities in a particular workstation engaged in preparing and cooking food products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate activities of the workstation ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation.
2. Assign duties and responsibilities to employees, organizing work schedules and controlling overtime.
3. Conduct inventory of workstation storage, determining daily food requirements and preparing requisitions.
4. Train and monitor entry-level cooks and chefs, providing on-the-job training to enhance performance.
5. Maintain high standards of HACCP and onboard sanitation, hygiene, and safety policies.
6. Operate equipment according to standard operating procedures, reporting any issues to supervisors.
7. Collaborate with galley personnel in a productive and effective manner.
8. Adjust thermostat controls, add seasonings to foods, and control food waste.
9. Participate in cleaning workstations during and after meal preparation.
10. Attend meetings, training activities, and other work-related events as required.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service.
• Previous experience as Chef De Partie/Demi Chef De Partie is advantageous.
• Culinary school degree required.
• Strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge of personalized service principles and quality service standards.
• Intermediate computer software skills required.
• Basic accounting knowledge and writing skills.
