Job Title: Senior Aluminum Facade Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Aluminum Facade Designer to join our team at The Recruiting Guy. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for external façade packages on architecturally sophisticated buildings throughout the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret architectural requirements for the design, fabrication, and installation of building façades, roof lights, and fenestration.
  • Produce working drawings and designs in accordance with customer specifications and amendments.
  • Supervise and monitor the issuance of drawings and design information by other designers and trainee designers.
  • Produce flashing schedules, procurement schedules, and cutting lists to meet manufacturers' delivery dates.
  • Attend handover meetings to discuss project progress and identify design areas needing attention.
  • Maintain the contract file in line with design procedures.
  • Keep daily records of contracts worked on for weekly timesheets.
  • Provide support to the Team Leader, Design Manager, and all members of the team.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in aluminum façade design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and procurement schedules production.
  • Strong understanding of architectural requirements interpretation and façade design principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
