**Job Title:** Paint Shop Engineer-Composites

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily painting activities in the paint shop, ensuring proper surface preparation, priming, base coat, and top coat application on Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) components.
  • Evaluate and guarantee that curing and drying parameters are met according to technical specifications for optimal paint performance.
  • Mobilize personnel, materials, and equipment to meet production timelines effectively.
  • Implement quality controls to ensure compliance with specified paint thickness, gloss level, color shade, adhesion, and finish standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections and tests (DFT, cross hatch, gloss meter, etc.) to verify adherence to customer and internal quality norms.
  • Detect and resolve surface defects (e.g., pinholes, delamination, orange peel) by implementing corrective/preventive actions.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in painting FRP or GRP components for the railway/automotive/defense sector.
