Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and interpret electrical drawings issued by the Head Office to ensure on-ground execution aligns with approved designs and safety standards.
  • Prepare or update site-specific electrical designs/drawings for cable routing, earthing design, junction box placement, LT/HT panel room layouts, and other related tasks.
  • Perform basic electrical design calculations for cable sizing, voltage drop, earthing resistance, load balancing, and other critical parameters.
  • Maintain site execution compliance with approved drawings, standards, and codes such as CEA, IEC, and IS.

Skill Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design tools is mandatory.
  • A strong understanding of electrical systems in solar projects including PV array to inverter interconnection, LT/HT cabling, transformers, switchgear, earthing & lightning protection systems, SCADA, and metering.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards is essential.
  • Able to prepare quick and accurate design modifications at site.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills are required for effective collaboration with various teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset is necessary for addressing on-ground technical challenges.
  • B.E./B.tech in Electrical Engineering is a must.
  • 5-8 years of experience in electrical design and site execution preferably in solar/renewable/industrial projects.
