IT Asset Management Professional

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to design, implement, and manage IT asset management processes across our organization.

This is a high-level role that requires a strong understanding of software license management, compliance audits, procurement, renewals, and optimization.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective IT asset management practices.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of license models, including perpetual, subscription, cloud/SaaS, BYOL, and enterprise agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IT asset management processes for both hardware and software.
  • Lead the software asset management (SAM) lifecycle, including license management, compliance audits, procurement, renewals, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective IT asset management practices.
  • Perform software discovery, reconciliation, and compliance checks across multiple publishers.
  • Develop strategic inputs for vendor negotiations, true-up, and contract renewals.
  • Drive process improvements and automation within IT asset management/SAM practice.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor IT asset management/SAM performance and governance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT asset management and software asset management tools.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes, especially IT asset management/SAM, CMDB, Incident, Change, and Procurement.
  • Hands-on experience in software license optimization, audits, and compliance management.
  • Ability to manage hardware asset lifecycle, including procurement, inventory, disposal, and refresh.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience in Excel, Power BI, or ServiceNow reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
