Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Manager to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our business teams.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in handling legal matters with a scheduled commercial bank or RBI Registered NBFC. You will have exposure to drafting agreements relating to financial transactions, capital raise, borrowings, due diligence, stressed assets, IT & Cyber Security, vendor management and related regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and finalizing legal deeds, documents, agreements, MoUs, and contracts
  • Providing legal support to cross-functional teams including business, operations, finance, risk, compliance, HR, IT and secretarial
  • Liaising with external legal counsels, statutory auditors, and regulators
  • Attending litigation matters and coordinating with Advocates
  • Advising internal stakeholders on corporate legal matters and risk mitigation


Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in handling legal matters with a scheduled commercial bank or RBI Registered NBFC

- Exposure to drafting of agreements relating to financial transactions, capital raise, borrowings, due diligence, stressed assets, IT & Cyber Security, vendor management and related regulatory matters

- Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams including business, finance, risk, compliance, HR, IT and secretarial

- Strong inter-personal and communication skills

- Good at analysing situations, providing solutions and negotiation skills
