- Inventory Oversight: Responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials against specifications.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to food safety standards in storage practices, maintaining proper documentation for batch traceability and stock registers.
- Storage and Housekeeping: Store materials in designated areas, segregating allergens, spices, and non-food items, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the storage area.
- Stock Taking and Reporting: Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation with book stock, preparing and submitting inventory reports as required.
- Coordination: Coordinate with production, quality control, procurement, and dispatch teams, following up with suppliers and logistics for material delivery timelines.
- Safety and Risk Management: Comply with workplace safety standards, use personal protective equipment as required, and identify and report risks in storage practices or material handling.
The ideal candidate will possess a graduate degree in any discipline, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Commerce. 2-5 years of experience as a storekeeper in the food or spice industry is also required. Knowledge of BRC/IFS/GMP food safety standards and proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Warehouse Management Systems are essential skills. Good organizational and record-keeping skills are also necessary. Physical fitness and ability to lift/move packages are required for this role.
