Job Role Overview

We are seeking a senior-level professional to lead internal audits and internal control design/transformation projects from planning to execution and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with clients to plan audits across multiple business units and locations, understanding their business objectives.
  • Audit Programme Development: Define and align audit programmes with client processes, ensuring scope alignment.
  • Audit Execution: Lead process discussions with clients, performing audit procedures as per defined standards.
  • Audit Validation: Schedule and validate audit observations with the client process owner.
  • Audit Reporting: Draft audit reports as per defined standards, summarising key findings and recommendations.

Additional Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading/conducting internal controls uplift and transformation projects, covering risk assessment to control design and implementation.

  • Risk Assessment: Identify material entities, processes, and controls through quantitative and qualitative risk assessment procedures.
  • Gap Assessment: Conduct gap assessments on the overall process/control landscape through workshops, process discovery sessions, and policy/procedure reviews.
  • Control Design/Transformation: Design and transform controls in line with gap assessments, system changes/upgrades, and management objectives.
  • Control Effectiveness Testing: Lead control walkthroughs, perform control inquiries, review control documentation to assess control design and operating effectiveness.
  • Reporting: Summarise control gaps, recommendations, and testing results in a comprehensive report.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Educational Qualification: A bachelor's degree (BBM/BBA/BCom) or master's degree (MBA/M.com) from an accredited institution; Professional certifications such as CA/ACCA/CPA/CIA are desirable.
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in internal audits and internal control design/transformation projects within Big 4 or consulting organisations.
  • Mandatory Skills: Strong MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Word skills; Basic knowledge of ERPs like SAP, Oracle for audit purposes; Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills; Ability to work in dynamic environments with changing priorities.
