Job Opportunity:

We seek an experienced cybersecurity specialist to join our team in a role that focuses on embedded engineering and security.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in threat modeling, secure development lifecycle, and software composition analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the runtime team to ensure each release meets secure development lifecycle standards and customer needs.
  • Provide guidance on architecting, designing, and threat model mentoring to members during the development cycle.
  • Evaluate, track, and resolve product and runtime cybersecurity issues and related technical debt in 3rd party packages.
  1. Cybersecurity vulnerabilities (CVEs)
  2. OS/package patches: Debian GNU/Linux, VxWorks
  3. Commercial/FOSS packages: Mongoose, UA-HPSDK, OpenSSL, mbedTLS, fmt, libyuarel, Frozen, optionparser, zlib, among others.
  • Manage and use tools for static and dynamic code analysis (Coverity, SQuORE, Halgrind, Valgrind, CppCheck) and software composition analysis (Black Duck Binary Analysis, Black Duck Hub) in 3rd party packages and current code base.
  1. Address false-positive findings, evaluate, and triage bugs, resolving or assigning to an SME as appropriate.
  2. Evaluate BDBA/BDH findings and work with the runtime teams to resolve.
  • Ensure quality data for all significant branches is current and accessible for use by management.
  1. Setup to support new releases as needed.
  2. Regular/scheduled and on-demand scans to timely detect abnormalities.
  3. Monitor changes and notify if trending is upward.
  4. Create and update formal report on branches.
