Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Cloud Visionary to design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures for our retail platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in defining and executing cloud migration strategies, optimizing infrastructure performance, and ensuring compliance with security and governance best practices across cloud environments.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools is essential. Experience with cloud migration strategies, workload assessments, and re-architecting solutions is also required.

Additionally, the candidate should have a strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies and tools is highly desirable.

As a senior-level architect, you will be responsible for leading cloud migration initiatives from on-premise or legacy systems to cloud-based platforms. You will design multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures to ensure high availability, scalability, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premise or legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • Design multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures to ensure high availability, scalability, and business continuity.
  • Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure robust cloud governance and security compliance.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud costs, performance, and resource utilization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to development and operations teams on cloud best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP – at least 2 of these at an expert level.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Experience with cloud migration strategies, workload assessments, and re-architecting solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in retail or e-commerce cloud deployments.
  • Exposure to DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and monitoring solutions.
  • Understanding of data architectures, including data lakes and analytics on the cloud.
