Job Description

This role is accountable for developing, configuring, programming, installing, and troubleshooting HVAC Controls and Electrical SCADA systems in data centers.

  • Develop comprehensive project scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for BMS and power management projects requested by customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage the execution of BMS improvement projects in data centers, ensuring scope, schedule, finance, and quality objectives are met.
  • Provide support for procurement-related activities, including request for quotation/proposal responses, review of vendor proposals, and issuance of purchase orders.
  • Assist with commissioning activities for Controls projects in data centers.
  • Conduct engineering analysis and research to design and develop methods for data center equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure designs and installations meet requirements, such as predicted cooling, structural, operational concerns, etc.
  • Develop data center vulnerability remediation playbooks for control system designs in conjunction with IT teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent understanding of industry-standard electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers, as well as controls/monitoring systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting or servicing HVAC Controls and Electrical SCADA systems application-specific controllers, Building Management System (BMS) Controls software, and networks.
  • Ability to develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
  • Effective stakeholder management, with experience navigating challenging situations.
  • Project coordination experience with multiple teams or vendors to meet project requirements for data centers.
  • TCP/IP, MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS communication protocol experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
