Thermal Systems Specialist

This is a full-time, on-site role that involves day-to-day tasks such as troubleshooting, process control, and managing electrical and instrumentation systems.

The specialist will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and instrumentation used in thermal engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Design and develop electrical schematics, power/control panels, and instrumentation layouts to meet project requirements.
  • Component Selection: Select and specify sensors, actuators, control valves, temperature/pressure transmitters, and flow meters based on project needs.
  • Control Systems: Develop PLC/SCADA logic for control systems (preferably Siemens, Delta, Allen-Bradley, etc.) to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Oversee wiring, panel testing, loop checking, and site commissioning to ensure successful system start-up.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with mechanical, design, and purchase teams to deliver integrated system solutions.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical or instrumentation issues at the shop or site to minimize downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation: BOMs, wiring diagrams, FAT/SAT protocols, O&M manuals to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and electrical codes to protect personnel and equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering.
  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in industrial projects (furnaces, boilers, process plants preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in:
  • PLC programming (Siemens, Delta, etc.).
  • HMI/SCADA development.
  • VFDs, MCCs, LT Panels, relay logics.
  • Sensors and instrumentation for temperature, pressure, flow, etc.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, EPlan (preferred), and Excel.
  • Understanding of industrial safety practices and CE/IEC/IS compliance.
