Coastal Engineer Role Summary

\

We are seeking a skilled Coastal Engineer to join our team in performing coastal numerical modeling and analysis activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coastal processes analysis and ocean and coastal numerical modeling, with a minimum of 5 years experience in coastal numerical modeling and coastal engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • \
  • Performing coastal structure design activities, including breakwater shore protection measures;\
  • Supporting multidisciplinary projects (primarily marine and harbor design work and coastal flood resiliency work);\
  • Participating in preparing reports/proposals and interacting with other disciplines;\
  • Maintaining accurate records and documenting project progress.\
  • Contributing to the development of new methodologies and best practices in coastal engineering.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

\
  • \
  • A Master's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university;\
  • A Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization;\
  • At least 5 years experience as a Structural Engineer with a focus on ports, marine, and waterfront projects;\
  • Excellent knowledge of coastal processes analysis and ocean and coastal numerical modeling;\
  • Strong communication and reporting skills;\
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;\
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related activities.
