About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator with migration expertise to lead our database migration programs.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments, including backup/recovery, replication, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end migration lifecycle across assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration optimization.
  • Define and drive migration strategy, methodologies, and best practices (zero/near-zero downtime, HA/DR).
  • Plan, design, and execute Oracle database migrations across various platforms.
  • Perform end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik for backup orchestration and recovery, and RMAN for backup/restore operations.
  • Implement delta data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners to ensure smooth migration with minimal business disruption.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) implementation and management.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of GoldenGate for real-time replication.
  • Familiarity with Terraform/Ansible for IaC-based DB provisioning.
