Job Role

An ETL Tester is required to analyze business needs, technical requirements and data mappings to create test plans and test cases.

This involves performing ETL testing including data validation, transformation and reconciliation. Data flows between source systems, staging and data warehouse/data marts must be validated.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills and the ability to write complex queries for data verification.

A good understanding of ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage or SSIS is also required.

Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schema) and have experience in testing large datasets and working with relational databases.

Experience in defect tracking tools is also essential.

Skill Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries for data validation.
  • Good understanding of ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, DataStage or SSIS.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schema).
  • Experience in testing large datasets and working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata).
  • Understanding of ETL concepts, data quality rules and data lineage.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
