Job Summary

Our organization seeks highly skilled CAD professionals to collaborate on a project involving the development of heat recovery steam generators and associated equipment.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for checking the validity of design, ensuring compatibility with adjacent components, and performing thorough checks of heat recovery steam generator non-pressure assemblies, pressure parts, structural component assemblies, and detail drawings of equipment.
  • They will assist in preparing or updating major component sub-assemblies, sections, and detail drawings, calculations, bill of materials, and 3D models for heat recovery steam generators and associated equipment.
Essential Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Review customer specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and itemized bill of materials for major assembly, section, and detail.
  • Collaborate with the project design lead to coordinate activities and ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Provide technical support to other departments by communicating and assisting with calculations and datasheets.
  • Develop and maintain 3D models of piping and equipment.
  • Generate weight calculations for parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
  • Participate in internal and customer 3D model walk-throughs.
  • Revise drawings as required.
  • Conduct thorough checking of drawings and bill of materials.
  • Create project as-built drawings if necessary.
  • Assist in the development of general arrangements and setting drawings.
  • Assist in reviewing vendor-generated drawings.
  • Maintain knowledge of current designs, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to drafters on acceptable drafting techniques, detailing, manufacturing, and construction procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to internal standards, project contracts, and specifications, as well as applicable codes and standards.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of internal design standards.
  • Offer assistance to the project engineer, project design lead, and product engineer for shop and field issues.
  • Serve as a consultant for shop and field questions.
  • Travel to jobsites or vendor shops as required.
