Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead our team of engineers in designing, building, and managing scalable cloud applications on AWS.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in DevOps practices, including a minimum of 1 year in managing a team. They should be proficient in AWS technologies such as EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, EKS, ECS, Security Hub, DynamoDB, Secret Manager, and Guard Duty.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure
  • Develop automation scripts and implement infrastructure services
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks within the infrastructure, network, or security
  • Research, set up, test, and implement technologies and solutions to improve performance, reliability, availability, security, and efficiency of infrastructure on AWS
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with developers to implement corrective/preventive actions during and after an incident
  • Design software architecture for maintaining High Availability and Fault Tolerance
  • Document and audit DevOps practices
  • Provide leadership and direction to DevOps engineers

Key Responsibilities:

This role requires a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectural patterns, and IT service management principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business outcomes through innovative technology solutions and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and related cluster components such as logging, metrics, security, RBAC, autoscaling, etc.
  • 7 years of experience in AWS, including minimum 1+ years in a Lead DevOps role, with expertise in a broad range of AWS technologies
  • Expertise in DevOps technologies like Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Bash Scripting, CI/CD, etc.
  • Good programming experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, or Go.
  • Expertise in automating, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experienced in a 24x7x365 uptime Amazon AWS environment leveraging git repositories and CI/CD tools like TeamCity
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues (e.g., by using APM tools like NewRelic, Dynatrace, etc)
  • Experience working with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus preferred)
  • Knowledge of logging and tracking issues in JIRA
  • Strong Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
