Job Title:

Assistant Manager - Human Resources

Overview:

The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with business leaders to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that drive organizational success. This role requires the ability to build strong relationships, ensure statutory compliance, manage employee life cycles, and contribute to talent management.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop staffing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Design and execute employee engagement initiatives focused on welfare, development, and mental well-being.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment drives, and onboarding programs to ensure smooth induction.
  • Assist in implementing the Annual Performance Management System (PMS) and provide guidance to managers and employees on performance processes.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing with strict adherence to timelines and accuracy.
  • Ensure statutory compliance with Labour Laws and Department of Factories regulations.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training and development programs to enhance workforce capabilities.
  • Manage the full employee exit cycle including clearance, documentation, and full & final settlements.
Qualifications & Skills:

Postgraduate Degree with specialization in HR or equivalent experience; 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Technical & Functional Skills:

Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and programs; In-depth understanding of Labour Laws and statutory compliance requirements; Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS/LMS platforms.

Behavioral & Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills; Strong interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder management skills; High attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
