Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced software test engineer to join the quality assurance team.
Responsibilities- Software Testing: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks.
- Build and enhance continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing pipelines.
- Create automated API tests using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Maintain test automation frameworks and improve test coverage.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Provide feedback on requirements and user stories from a testing perspective.
- Contribute to improving testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Technical Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of API testing tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD tools.
- Testing Expertise: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA processes.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools is a plus.
- Understanding of database testing and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with mobile testing preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing projects.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
- Experience with cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of security testing principles.
- Experience with containerization technologies.
