Project Quality Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and quality management, with experience in project development phases, APQP, and PPAP. You will also need to possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify customer expectations and ensure they are met in project quality plans.
  • Participate in project reviews and verify final statements align with project status.
  • Perform QSE2 audits related to Project Management activities.
  • Represent AKWEL's quality standards to internal and external suppliers.
  • Verify requirements are satisfied and stop sourcing committee process if necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Plastic/Production) with minimum 5 years experience in Tier 1 supplier in Automotive industry.

Technical Knowledge:

• Project Development phases, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

• Functional Analysis and design FMEA.

• Risk assessment and process FMEA.

• Control Plan and special characteristics, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA).

• 8D problem solving and QRQC approach.

• QSE2 audit, especially those for process audits (based on VDA 6.3, CQI, Run at Rate, capacity…).

Professional Abilities:

• Autonomy, organizational abilities, and interpersonal skills.

• Synthetic and analytical thinking, integrity, rigor, and tenacity.

• Oral and written competencies; ability to communicate succinctly the quality standpoint and to represent AKWEL.

• Good IT skills (MS Office, PDM, AKWEL Portal, customer portals).

• Proficiency in English; knowledge of some other customer language(s) is recommend.
