Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain design team workflows ensuring all designs meet style guides, brand standards, and quality expectations.
- Oversee the departmental fashion calendar for the season, coordinating with stakeholders as needed.
- Research emerging trends, providing insights to inform portfolio design decisions.
- Stay abreast of market changes and competitor activity.
- Perform daily organizational tasks including styling range development, sample creation, and resource management.
- Organize styling materials and resources for sampling purposes.
- Conceptualize, create, and deliver strong design solutions, effectively communicating through presentations.
- Collaborate with Design Merchants to drive business results.
People Management Skills:
Coordinate with Sampling, Pattern & Khaka's masters and Embroiders.
Coach and provide technical guidance to designers on the team, fostering career growth.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Design from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, and Corel Draw.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in apparel design.
- Understanding of Indian ethnic wear design principles - Fabric and Styling.
- Proven track record of designing an impressive Apparel portfolio with a design team.
