We are seeking a talented Product Design Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality HVAC products, ensuring compliance with ASHRAE standards and North America regulations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating design requirements for HVAC equipment such as VRF, PAC, RAC, Dedicated outside Air Systems, and Heat Pumps.
  • Selecting components for optimized performance, including compressors, heat exchangers, motors, and TXVs.
  • Designing and developing complete HVAC products based on design requirements.
  • Providing work estimates and controlling project timelines to meet objectives for quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Ensuring all aspects of refrigeration design requirements are met for AHU, RTU, and PAC systems.
  • Collaborating with value engineering and CAD design teams on reverse/tear down engineering projects.
  • Understanding and following product development processes.
  • Working closely with project leads, product design teams, and overseas clients to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinating with production teams for necessary product changes and timely implementation.
  • Traveling onsite for prototype testing and coordination if required.
  • Providing training and technical mentoring to team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Thermal-Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product design and development, specifically in Heat Transfer/Refrigeration.
  • Strong understanding of organization processes and templates for assigned projects.
  • Quality check for deliverables generated.
  • Maintenance of defined quality process and check-sheets for assigned projects.

Preferred:

Familiarity with HVAC equipment such as AHUs, RAC, VRF, PAC, Dedicated outside Air Systems, and Heat Pumps.

Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, Psychometrics, Thermodynamics, and Refrigeration Cycles.

Strong communication skills to discuss technical topics with individuals and groups.
