Senior Physical Design Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Physical Design Manager to lead our global physical design organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical design, timing closure, and physical integration/signoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and drive a team of physical designers to deliver high-quality designs.
- Lead the physical design of ASIC blocks on FPGA, including DDR PHY, configuration and security engines, and interface wrappers around serdes PMAs.
- Develop and implement best-in-class methodologies to accelerate design time and improve design quality.
- Ensure block-level implementation from netlist to GDSII and handle timing closure of high-frequency blocks.
- Expertise in signoff closure - Timing with SI and OCV, Power, IR, and physical.
- Strive to constantly improve internal flows and methodologies.
- Develop strong relationships with worldwide teams.
- Mentor and develop a strong bench management.
- Interface with stakeholders and business groups constantly.
- Travel occasionally as needed.
Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD Engineering degree or equivalent.
- 18+ years of experience in leading physical design teams, including managing team schedules and deliverables and meeting project milestones.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong passion and ability to attract, hire, retain engineers by motivating them and by inculcating innovation culture.
- Ability to collaborate with overseas teams to define strategy, plan, and execute across the larger, global organization.
- Familiarity with FPGA designs, use-cases, and design considerations is a plus.
- Independent worker with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to work with multiple groups across different sites.
