Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to design and develop data pipelines and data integration solutions in a cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced ETL pipelines for data ingestion and egress for batch data, utilizing industry-leading tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Bulk scalable data solutions using Spark (PySpark & Scala Spark) and other Azure services to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot complex data jobs, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose efficient solution designs that meet business objectives.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and adherence to best practices in data engineering to protect business assets.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of problem definitions, solutions, and architecture to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring project deadlines are met and exceeding expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala programming languages to drive data insights and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud services, including ADF and Databricks, to architect scalable data solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (PySpark & Scala Spark) to drive real-time data processing and analytics.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing complex ETL pipelines for batch data to drive business intelligence.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve complex issues.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong documentation skills to draft clear problem definitions and solutions, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Ability to effectively gather requirements and propose solution designs that meet business objectives.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, driving results and exceeding expectations.

This role requires a data engineer with strong technical expertise in Azure, data engineering tools, and advanced ETL design, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to drive business success.
