About Mechanical Draftsman Role

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Draftsman to join our team. As a Mechanical Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings of mechanical systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To prepare assembly, sub-assembly, and detail fabrication/manufacturing drawings along with the bill of material.
  • To calculate approximate weights based on basic drawings provided and compare them with estimated weights to inform engineers or checkers of any deviations.
  • To study basic drawings given and point out any problems or mistakes to concern engineers or checkers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Educational Qualification: SSC/HSC, 2 years NCVT in Drafting – Mechanical stream from ITI/Diploma in Mechanical.
  • Computer skills: AutoCAD, 3D software (Autodesk Inventor, Auto Plant 3D), Knowledge of MS office.
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in drafting in areas like structural, piping, Mechanical, foundation/refractory detailing with good knowledge about geometrical tolerances.
  • Experience mainly in Furnace, strip-processing industry will be an added advantage.
