Job Title: External Quality Assurance Lead

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and skilled External Quality Assurance Lead to join our team.

Job Description:

  • Lead the development and implementation of quality systems and processes at our external manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to site leadership and employees on quality-related matters.
  • Develop and maintain effective quality control systems, including deviation management, complaint handling, and change control.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and optimize quality performance.
  • Develop and maintain metrics and reports to track quality performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmacy).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with a strong background in quality assurance and control.
  • Proven track record of leading quality initiatives and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with site leadership and employees.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve quality and business objectives.
