Automation Tester Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, with expertise in test automation frameworks and tools.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. They will work closely with the development team to identify and resolve defects, and collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Execute regression, functional, integration, and performance tests.
  • Identify, log, and track defects; work closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with QA, development, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Enhance and optimize automation frameworks for scalability and reusability.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in testing.
  • Generate and share detailed test reports and metrics.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of programming/scripting languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
  • Experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, Karate, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Understanding of databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative Agile team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in test automation.
  • ISTQB or relevant QA certifications (preferred).
