Job Title: Remote VFX Mentor

We are seeking a skilled Visual Effects (VFX) expert to join our team as a remote mentor. As a seasoned Supervisor with Hollywood film production experience, you will provide training and guidance to our artists in the field of VFX.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Houdini software skills and best practices, as well as experience in teaching and mentoring. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering Houdini software training for film and advertising needs, covering basic to advanced levels.
  • Teaching RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.
  • Providing personalized coaching to enhance individual skills and providing insights into global cinema experiences.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Houdini.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles.
  • Basic knowledge of Blender workflow is a plus.
  • Portfolio demonstrating excellent skills and creative approach.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Artistic skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English language.

Work Arrangement:

Part-time: approximately 5-10 hours/week
