Senior Automation Engineer

Job Summary
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will work on small to medium-sized proposals, understanding customer requirements, defining the best technical solution, and delivering proposals within the defined time period. You will work independently on small proposals and under minimal supervision on medium proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute various international pursuits, analyzing RFQs and customer requirements.
- Prepare lists of deliverables and proposal schedules, tracking proposal delivery schedules to meet submission deadlines.
- Prepare technical queries and respond to customer queries, participating in technical kick-off meetings with sales and operations.
- Develop cost-effective solutions and proposals based on RFQ requirements, estimating and optimizing costs.
- Size system hardware, estimate controller loading, size control networks, and prepare heat and power calculations.
- Prepare tables of compliance for customer specifications, identifying risks and mitigation plans associated with technical solutions.
- Derive and tune engineering service estimates, reviewing with operations, and preparing commercial summaries for customer formats.
- Coordinate with procurement teams and vendors for techno-commercial offers for third-party items.
- Work closely with proposal leads and sales to understand customer requirements and prepare proposals accordingly.
- Have good knowledge of ICSS, DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, and third-party interfaces.
- Understand virtualization, cybersecurity, asset management systems, area classifications, and project life cycles.
- Have effective presentation and communication skills, able to work in cross-functional teams and independently.
- Able to analyze technical limitations and impact on solutions, recognize and respond to dynamic demands, and work in a team environment.
- Have excellent written and verbal skills, good hands-on MS Office knowledge, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexible approach to work, with a focus on quality control and assurance.
Quality Control & Assurance
- Implement EEEC IMS processes and documentation as required throughout the project.
- Adopt WA quality requirements and customer regulatory guidelines.
- Practice and promote a first-time right approach, strictly following GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
Other Duties
- Perform additional specific duties as requested by the business, typically strategic in nature.

For This Role, You Will Need
Min 8 years' experience in automation - DCS/SIS/PLC/SCADA related solutions, preferably in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical industry.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart
- Must be a bachelor's graduate in instrumentation, electronics, or electronics and telecommunications.
