Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing prototypes with laser line profilers, displacement sensors, ultrasonic probes, and cameras
  • Providing support with hardware selection
  • Designing mounts and enclosures that can withstand heat, vibration, and factory debris
  • Assisting with integration with DAQ tools, PLCs, and basic OpenCV scripts
  • Contributing to pilot deployments across customer sites in India
  • Troubleshooting and iterating quickly when challenges arise

Success Metrics:

  • You can walk into a messy factory setup, design a mount, wire up a sensor, and obtain usable data
  • When issues occur (and they will), you find a solution fast and keep the pilot moving
  • You're comfortable stating 'this works, this doesn't, here's how we make it better'
  • Customers see our systems working in their environments due to your hands-on contributions
  • Problem-solver first: you prioritize what works over what looks good on paper

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in sensors, automation, or machine vision
  • Knowledge of laser triangulation, ultrasonic NDT, or machine vision systems
  • Ability to design practical mechanical setups (mounts, fixtures, enclosures)
  • Comfortable with Python/OpenCV/DAQ basics and PLC connections
  • Willingness to get hands dirty in high-heat/industrial environments
  • Based in India, with flexibility to travel for deployments
  • Available ~20 hrs/week (flexible schedule)
