As a seasoned construction estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's success by ensuring that all capital cost estimates are prepared with precision and accuracy.

  • Create comprehensive capital cost estimates to inform business decisions.
  • Provide expert advice on building economics, tendering procedures, and contract arrangements to stakeholders.
  • Draft and review contract packages, including amendments to standard forms, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare pricing documents for tender packages, taking into account various factors that impact project costs.
  • Offer guidance on tendering procedures to ensure a fair and transparent process.
  • Draft instructions to tenderers, clearly outlining the requirements and expectations of the project.
  • Develop tender evaluation criteria to assess the suitability of potential contractors.
  • Compose PQQ questionnaires to gather essential information from prospective bidders.
  • Evaluate commercial submissions from tenderers, negotiate contract terms, and ascertain amounts due to contractors for price variations.
  • Resolve claims disputes and determine the validity of contractor requests.
  • Contribute to the preparation and dissemination of monthly Cost Reports, providing valuable insights into project expenses.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree is desirable, accompanied by 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of QS and cost management processes, including the ability to interpret drawings for quantification purposes.
  • Chartered QS status under a recognized professional organization, such as RICS, SCSI, AIQS, or NZIQS.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic IT literacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and departments across global offices located in the US.
  • Self-motivated individual with attention to detail, capable of working independently.
