Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing the application development across the full project lifecycle, from gathering functional designs and creating technical specifications to managing the development process until deployment. They must have a strong history of working closely with internal and external stakeholders, discussing and articulating detailed designs and code.

A collaborative and dynamic individual is required to fill this key role. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development of high-quality software applications that meet business needs.

  • Demonstrate working knowledge across a broad range of application and engineering patterns;
  • Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders and discuss detail designs and code;
  • Responsible for leading and overseeing the application development across the full project lifecycle;
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and Technology or equivalent work experience;
  • Minimum 12 years of related IT experience, designing and deploying enterprise-level business or technical applications;
  • Working experience of a wide range of distributed and cloud technologies with experience of their integration and configuration: e.g. Cloud work loads, Containerisation, Linux, Java/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, MVC, Angular JS, React, Mobile and Application Middleware, ESB, Datapower XML/JSON, SOA and API management, distributed relational and noSQL databases Postgres/Yugabyte along with tradition Oracle/MySQL/DB2, PhoneGap/ IOS/Android SDKs, etc.;
  • Working experiences with microservices, mobile and web app security concepts, session Management, performance tuning, automated testing techniques, high availability engineering, and database technologies for mobile and web apps;
  • Working knowledge of cryptography, key management and security solutions on both mobile and server side with understanding of security protocols and cryptography including PKI, SSL, RSA, authentication, encryption, digital signatures;
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as rules, AI and Machine Learning with good understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies such knowledge to support the needs of the business;
  • Possesses strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies as well as all functional areas in an IT organization;
  • Excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues;
  • Functional and technical specifications, coding and testing and / or application support including strong understanding of mobile and web app, security concepts, session management, performance tuning, automated testing techniques, high availability engineering, and database technologies for mobile and web apps;
  • Demonstrated experience in both agile/scrum and waterfall life cycle application development;
  • Experience and comfort in mentoring and driving teams of 20+;
Favorable Qualifications
  • Any working experience working with any other payment solutions including mainframe environment would be of advantage;
