We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Professional to join our team as a Commis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes with authenticity and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage kitchen resources, including mise-en-place and food preparation.
  • Evaluate portion control, plating standards, and hygiene compliance to ensure exceptional quality.
  • Develop and lead junior staff in techniques, recipes, and kitchen safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in requisitioning supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Culinary Career Advancement
  1. Junior Commis Role
  • Support senior chefs in food preparation, basic sauce development, and garnish creation.
  • Cook standard menu items under guidance, adhering to established culinary procedures.
  • Ensure mise-en-place is ready for service, maintaining high standards of kitchen efficiency.
  • Enforce kitchen hygiene and follow standardized operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Report supply shortages or quality issues to seniors in a timely manner.
  1. Intermediate Commis Position
  • Familiarize yourself with assigned cuisine and cooking methods to enhance your skills.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Assist with mise-en-place and stock rotation to maintain kitchen organization.
  • Sustain kitchen hygiene and provide support with dishwashing duties if required.
