Database Expert Position

We are seeking an experienced Database Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance optimization, and query tuning for large-scale databases.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize large-scale databases.
  • Perform query optimization, database tuning, and indexing strategies for high-performance applications.
  • Implement and monitor database backup, recovery, and failover strategies.
  • Manage database security, roles, and access privileges.
  • Work with development teams to troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Utilize monitoring utilities for proactive performance management.
  • Ensure database scalability, reliability, and availability in production environments.
  • Support upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

Mandatory Skills:

  • PostgreSQL DBA expertise (8+ years).
  • Strong experience in performance optimization & query tuning.
  • Hands-on with Linux environment.
  • Proven work with related toolkit utilities.
  • Ability to handle large databases.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of replication, partitioning, and clustering.
  • Experience in automation and scripting.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.

The role requires hands-on experience in PostgreSQL on Linux environments along with familiarity in using tools such as timesqldb and related toolkits.
