Senior Data Engineer Role

Overview: This role is a senior position for a skilled data engineer to lead the design and development of large-scale data processing systems.

We are seeking an experienced professional who can manage complex projects, work closely with cross-functional teams, and provide technical guidance on data engineering practices.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other cloud-based tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of large-scale data processing systems
  • Manage complex projects from conceptualization to deployment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data-driven solutions
  • Provide technical guidance on data engineering practices and contribute to the development of best-in-class solutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions
  • Experience with cloud-based tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Education:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, or a related field

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with GxP and Non GxP SDLC
  • Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices
  • Cloud DevOps knowledge

Other Requirements:

  • English language required
  • May require travel 10-20% of time based on project locations
