Control Assurance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Controls Testing Lead. In this position, you will play a critical part in ensuring the development and execution of testing methodologies for key controls across our global business.
Your primary focus will be on assurance activities over resiliency material and critical controls testing, with potential opportunities to expand into other operational risk domains.
You will be responsible for developing and executing controls testing plans, communicating and agreeing upon gaps in controls, and monitoring their implementation in line with our risk management processes.
This will involve close collaboration with other assurance functions across first, second, and third lines of defense (LOD).
Key Responsibilities- Support the Controls Testing Manager in identifying and prioritizing testing activities as part of the assurance planning process.
- Plan and execute control tests, including coordinating review processes with key stakeholders, managing control testing analysts, reviewing quality of work, and ensuring alignment with assurance testing methodology.
- Prepare draft reports reflecting results of work performed and advise the business on appropriate solutions and remediation activities, engaging 2LOD and subject matter experts in agreeing action plans.
- Present results to senior management to obtain buy-in and agreement to action.
- Coordinate activities throughout the review lifecycle with senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Data Analytics teams to identify opportunities for converting manual testing into analytics-based testing and continuous assurance activity.
- Support 1LOD with issues remediation and validation of evidence before issue closure.
- Provide feedback to design and implementation teams on any learnings identified as part of control testing.
- Demonstrate high levels of personal integrity at all times.
