Job Title: Reliability Engineering Lead

Role Overview

The VP SRE role is responsible for driving the organization's reliability engineering strategy. This includes reducing toil, promoting an "Automate-first" culture, and developing methodologies for process automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Define and drive the organization's SRE strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Process Automation: Develop and implement methodologies for identifying and automating inefficient processes.
  • Metrics Development: Assist in creating service metrics and actionable plans to improve operational efficiency and enhance service quality.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement SLOs, monitoring strategies, and reliability improvements.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on SRE Practitioner with 5+ years of experience working in SRE roles.
  • Practical experience defining and implementing Service Level Objectives, operating within error budgets, and implementing monitoring and observability technologies.
  • Experience in corporate software development lifecycle methodologies, including gitops implementation.
  • Strong understanding of technical systems, analytical skills, and solid knowledge of critical production support processes.
  • 2+ years of experience with public/private cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
