Job Opportunity: Employment Law Specialist

We seek a highly skilled professional to join our team in the Employment Law practice, requiring expertise in Indian labour and employment laws, strong client advisory skills, and leadership on high-impact mandates.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, advising domestic and multinational clients on employment and labour law issues including employment contracts, industrial disputes, POSH compliance, and workforce structuring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on employment contracts, HR policies, compensation structures, termination matters, industrial disputes, disciplinary proceedings, employee misconduct, POSH compliance, internal investigations, labour law audits, and due diligence for M&A transactions
  • Represent clients before labour authorities, tribunals, and other forums as necessary, draft and negotiate employment-related documentation and settlement agreements
  • Stay abreast of developments in Indian employment law and contribute to knowledge management initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, supervise and mentor junior associates in the practice

Candidate Profile:

  • LL.B. from a reputed Indian law school
  • 7–12 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a top-tier law firm or leading in-house legal department
  • Strong command of Indian labour laws, industrial regulations, and case law developments, excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical skills
  • Experience in handling sensitive investigations and employment litigation preferred, business-oriented mindset with excellent client-handling skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments independently and under deadlines
  • Team player with a collaborative working style
