Senior Legal Operations Manager Role:
The ideal candidate will oversee the delivery of legal support services, ensuring high-quality execution of client projects and maintaining compliance with global legal standards.
This role demands a strong foundation in legal concepts, managerial skills, attention to detail, and a service-driven mindset to meet the evolving demands of international legal clients.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of legal support services across litigation support, contract lifecycle management, document review, legal research, and compliance domains.
- Maintain quality deliverables by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client expectations and legal standards.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress for timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Address delivery-related issues and client escalations proactively.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as key contact for assigned clients; maintain regular communication to understand evolving needs and ensure alignment.
- Participate in client calls, review meetings, and feedback sessions.
- Support client onboarding, process transition, and documentation activities.
Team Leadership & Performance:
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of legal analysts, associates, and senior associates.
- Monitor team performance, identify training needs, and implement performance improvement strategies.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, upskilling initiatives, and career development support for team members.
Quality, Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, SLAs, legal best practices, and data confidentiality protocols.
- Implement robust quality control mechanisms and conduct regular audits of work outputs.
- Generate project dashboards, status reports, and operational metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
Operational Initiatives:
- Collaborate with business development teams on proposals, RFPs, client presentations, and proof-of-concept projects.
- Support implementation of legal tech tools and process automation initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background: LL.B. from a recognized law school; LL.M in Business laws preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in legal services with 10+ years in a supervisory or client-facing role in an LPO or corporate legal setup.
- Exposure to U.S., U.K., or other common law jurisdictions is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract analysis, litigation support, and legal compliance domains.
Key Skills:
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and interpretation skills.
- Strong command of legal research databases.
- Familiarity with contract management platforms, review tools, and case management software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure.
- High standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and integrity.
