UI Tester Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled UI Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The UI Tester will be responsible for testing the user interface of software applications to ensure they meet design specifications, are intuitive to use, and provide a seamless user experience across platforms.

  • Test UI Functionality: Execute manual and automated tests to verify that the user interface functions as intended across web, mobile, and/or desktop applications.
  • Validate Design Specifications: Ensure UI elements (e.g., buttons, menus, forms, layouts) adhere to design mockups, wireframes, and style guides.
  • Cross-Browser/Device Testing: Test applications on various browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and devices (e.g., iOS, Android, tablets, desktops) to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in UI testing, quality assurance, or a related role, proficiency in manual testing and familiarity with UI testing tools, knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other front-end technologies, experience with bug-tracking tools, and understanding cross-browser and cross-device testing methodologies.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including at least one dynamically typed language and one statically typed language.
  • Basic understanding of UX design principles.
