Job Title: Spatial Analyst

 

Location: Remote - India, United States & Canada.

 

Full-time position available.

 

We are looking for a skilled Spatial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience with implementing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions using various software and programming languages.

 

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of experience as a software developer. We require candidates with experience in publishing and administering map services using GeoServer and ArcGIS Server, tuning and troubleshooting map services for optimal performance, maintaining and administering geodatabases using PostGIS and ArcGIS GeoDBs, and knowledge of open-source GIS software like GeoServer, PostGIS, GDAL, GeoPandas and GeoSpark.

 

A strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, and TypeScript is necessary. Candidates should also have experience working with ESRI APIs and tools (ArcObjects, Geoprocessing, ArcGIS Desktop/Server/Portal, ArcGIS Online, etc.) and web frameworks such as Angular, React, Node.js, and Openlayers.

 

Working experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL is required. Experience working in an agile environment using Scrum and Kanban is beneficial.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in hybrid on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Experience in the upstream oil/gas industry
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Google Big Query, Airflow, Elastic Search, Spark, Kafka, Git, Azure DevOps, Terraform, VS Code, Kubernetes.

 

Required skills include analytical problem-solving, data processing, fact-establishing, and quality conclusion-drawing abilities. Ability to learn complex systems quickly and debug them efficiently in ambiguous situations is essential.

 

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in communicating with people at various levels of the organization are needed.
