Shopify Ecommerce Website Developer

We are seeking an experienced ecommerce website developer to join our team. As a Shopify ecommerce website developer, you will be responsible for developing and customizing Shopify ecommerce websites for clients.

Your role will involve working closely with our design and development teams to create seamless and visually appealing online stores.

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify ecommerce websites.
  • Extend theme functionality for custom cart, filters or similar requirements.
  • Work with metaobject and metafield structuring for complex data structures.
  • Collaborate with designers and other developers to understand key problems and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Requirements:

  • Experience with front-end JavaScript libraries like React, Vue, Svelte.
  • Competence in Vanilla JavaScript (ES6) including async JavaScript.
  • Experience in Liquid and SCSS (or tailwind / MUI).
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly document and report issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Shopify developer or relevant skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with Shopify development is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Shopify metaobject and metafield structures is advantageous.
  • Portfolio of past projects demonstrating required skills and experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Cross-browser testing tools.
  • Bug tracking tools.
  • Responsive testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Shopify themes, Liquid, Shopify Plus, and Shopify Admin is a plus.
