Job Description

Sr. Cloud Engineer Job description: A senior-level role requiring expertise in designing, building, and maintaining AWS Cloud Infrastructure.

  • Infrastructure Development: Designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
  • AWS Services: Proficiency in EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Redshift, ECS, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, Cost Explorer.
  • Cluster Management: Setting up and managing ECS/EKS clusters for efficient deployment and performance-based scaling.
  • Terraform/CloudFormation: Utilizing Terraform and CloudFormation to automate infrastructure setup and management.
  • Environment Setup: Configuring new environments based on specific requirements and industry best practices.
  • Security and Compliance: Implementing AWS IAM policies, configuring roles, user groups, and securing database access.
  • Database Management: Setting up and managing RDS databases (MySQL, Redshift, PostgreSQL, MariaDB) and intranet user access management.
  • Network Configuration: Designing and implementing network configurations using VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, NAT Gateways, Internet Gateways, Route 53, WAF.
  • DevOps and CI/CD: Implementing DevOps processes, creating Bitbucket/GitHub pipelines, and integrating ticketing systems like ServiceNow and Jira.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyzing costs and optimizing resource usage using Trusted Advisor, Cost Explorer, and tagging.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Upgrading AMIs, applying patches, and managing maintenance windows.
  • Performance Monitoring: Utilizing tools like New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana for monitoring and surveillance.
