Director of Automotive Electronics and Embedded Hardware

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Automotive Electronics and Embedded Hardware to lead our team in the technical delivery of automotive electronics hardware.

  • Independently work on design tasks to lead electrical hardware design
  • Review customer specifications and ensure compliance
  • Design and develop automotive products with Micro, SOC's, High speed memory, LVDS, FPD Link-III circuitry, high speed design for automotive applications
  • Develop digital core, audio, camera and video signals, analog and digital control logic, linear and switching power supplies, for automotive applications

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with microprocessors and DSPs, as well as knowledge of worst case analysis and simulations. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform worst case analysis and simulations to ensure compliance to customer requirements
  • Support product design reviews and create schematic and assembly drawings
  • Develop and maintain electrical DFMEA and generate electrical information to ECAD for PCB layout
  • Support hardware prototype build and create product verification plan
  • Present product design, analysis and testing to customers
  • Utilize structured problem solving techniques for test failure resolution
Requirements:
  • Lab equipment experience with power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, multi-meters etc.
  • Strong understanding of automotive electronics and related technologies
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
