Senior Data Manager

  • Job Summary:

  • This role involves overseeing the data management function, ensuring accurate and timely data collection, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting.
  • The incumbent will maintain positive relationships with corporate entities, clients, TPA, and insurance companies to facilitate smooth endorsement/policy processes.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness in the portal for all clients and policies on time.
  • Gather, collate, store, and prepare reports as required by the business.
  • Develop reports based on business needs.
  • Maintain Time-to-Act (TAT) for additions, deletions, and corrections in endorsements.
  • Conduct quantitative/qualitative data analysis using Excel tools.
  • Intimate monthly client data to insurers post-quality control and calculation.
  • Follow up with insurers for endorsement closures within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Construct forecasts, predictions, and recommendations based on existing policy terms.
  • Prepare and present reports on a monthly, quarterly, or ad-hoc basis, highlighting issues, observations, or outcomes.
  • Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and mentor staff members.
  • Foster client relationships and maintain good relationships with stakeholders.
  • Create specifications for reports and analysis aligned with business requirements.

  • Desirable Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree from any background, with General Insurance certifications being an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in the General Insurance industry, preferably with an Insurance Company, Broker, or TPA.
  • Familiarity with handling data management portals, especially SAIBA.
  • Proven experience in managing a considerable team size.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office.
  • Strong team management, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Ability to work with large data sets across multiple systems.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
