Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Skyroot. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our mechanical systems and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with design and manufacturing teams to understand design raw material requirements and in-process quality product test plans.
  • Prepare Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) of various systems.
  • Perform in-process inspection of precision components, including process critical dimensions and functional critical dimensions.
  • Surveillance during assembly and integration of mechanical systems.
  • Generate and maintain quality documents, including quality assurance plans, dimensional inspection reports, non-conformance reports, process sheets, and in-process checklists.
  • Qualification and acceptance of raw materials, fasteners, and seals.
  • Audit and follow-up for closure of non-conformance reports.
  • Documentation of lessons learned towards continuous improvement and realization of actual hardware.

Requirements:

  • Experience in QA/QC in precision assemblies and testing of mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge in preparing quality assurance plans/quality assessment reports for new products.
  • Knowledge in raw material testing standards, such as ASTM/AMS for metallics.
  • Familiarity with quality acceptance standards for aerospace-grade fasteners, springs, and seals (desirable).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Diploma/Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the aerospace industry as a quality engineering role.
  • Fresh pass-out in the year 2023/2024.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace mechanical systems.
  • Experience in QA/QC in precision assemblies and testing of mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge in preparing quality assurance plans/quality assessment reports for new products.
  • Knowledge in raw material testing standards, such as ASTM/AMS for metallics.
  • Familiarity with quality acceptance standards for aerospace-grade fasteners, springs, and seals (desirable).
