Job Title: Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to develop and maintain applications using legacy versions of the .NET framework.

This is a critical role requiring immediate onboarding to support ongoing enterprise-grade projects.

You will work onsite, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications built on older .NET framework versions (2.0 to 4.5).
  • Participate actively in all stages of the software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with architects and senior developers to design scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in legacy codebases, ensuring optimal application performance and responsiveness.
  • Follow coding standards, best practices, and ensure high code quality through peer reviews and unit testing.
  • Support deployment activities and provide immediate post-deployment stabilization and support.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience in .NET development.
  • Strong expertise with legacy versions of the .NET Framework (2.0 to 4.5).
  • Proficient in C#, ASP.NET, and either Windows Forms or Web Forms development.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and software design principles.
  • Experience in working with SQL Server, including writing complex stored procedures, triggers, and optimizing database performance.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like TFS or SVN.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with migration projects involving upgrading from older .NET frameworks to newer platforms.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and deployment automation tools.
