Job Overview

This role involves reviewing contracts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, and supporting various legal matters.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contract Review & Drafting:
    • Review, draft and negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, clients, services and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
    • Evaluate compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
    • Develop standard contract templates and processes.
    • Collaborate with business teams on day-to-day issues and concerns with client agreements.
  • Compliance Support:
    • Monitor the company's adherence to regulatory and legal requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
    • Support the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and training materials.
    • Advise on corporate governance, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Legal Research & Advisory:
    • Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Provide advice and recommendations on legal risks and compliance matters to stakeholders.
    • Assist senior legal counsel in preparing legal opinions and reports.
  • General Legal Support:
    • Assist with corporate governance matters, including board meeting minutes and regulatory filings.
    • Support the legal team with dispute resolution, litigation, and other legal matters as required.
    • Maintain contract databases and records.
    Requirements
    • Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent qualification.
      • 4-6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house role.
    • Skillset:
      • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications.
      • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Understanding of contract laws and commercial agreements.
