Job Overview

The IT Support Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring seamless business operations by providing comprehensive technical support across the entire IT infrastructure.

This involves end-user support, networking, servers, and IT systems, requiring proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and IT service management to guarantee continuous operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and enterprise applications.
  • Maintain optimal IT infrastructure performance by proactively monitoring servers, storage, networks, and preventing downtime.
  • Handle user requests and incidents via the IT helpdesk/ticketing system, prioritizing issues based on severity and impact.
  • Administer user accounts, email systems, and security groups in Active Directory/Office 365, ensuring secure access and compliance with policies.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and system access issues utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects such as cloud migration, system upgrades, and security enhancements to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Skills Required
  • A strong understanding of IT concepts and technologies.
  • Experience working with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
  • A good understanding of networking principles, including LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, and experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
